ABOUT THE OIL


Age-old pre and post-natal body oil. It relieves pregnancy-related body aches, inflammation, muscle cramps, joint and low backache. It helps improve the overall body strength and aids postnatal recovery of the body. It reduces the occurrence of stretch marks by improving skin elasticity. Made from fresh herbs and cold pressed oil in traditional Ayurvedic homes in Kerala.

    Prenatal Use

    1. Apply the oil generously all over your body.
    2. Focus on the abdomen, lower back and breasts during the application.
    3. Perform a gentle but firm self-massage daily.
    4. Allow the oil to remain on your body for at least 30 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.

    Frequency

    Follow this regimen regularly after reaching 36 weeks of pregnancy.

    Postnatal Use

    1. Warm the Dhanwantharam tailam in a water bath.
    2. Apply it all over the body and massage by a trained person.
    3. Keep the oil on your body for up to an hour.
    4. Wash it off with luke warm water.

    Frequency

    • Continue this practice daily for 28 to 45 days after delivery.
    • If it's a normal pregnancy, you can start a general massage routine from the first week after delivery, applying the oil as needed.
